Lynn
was born in East Anglia. She studied for five years in
Edinburgh gaining an MA in Art History and Philosophy from
Edinburgh University and a Fine Art Diploma from Edinburgh College
of Art.
After graduating she supported herself as an artist by
working as a freelance journalist. For two years
she was Features Editor on 'Vanity Fair' magazine. She
taught Life Drawing and History of Art at Hornsey College of Art
and later became a Senior Lecturer at Middlesex University and a
tutor on the Arts Faculty of the Open University.
